As a parent it an e difficult to see your child go through this journey. Here are some trial and tested ativties that you can do that will support your own journey through this difficult time.
Meditate
Journal and Reflect on your journey
Keep a diary of activities you and your child did whilst in hospita or on this journey. Write down funny things they said, or questions they asked you.
Read a book to your child that will inspire them and inspire you
Have fun with your child and get involved in the activities that they do. E.G. If they are singing, sing with them.
Treat yourself to a tea, coffee or ice cream.
Talk to other parents in the ward and make connections to help each other during this time.
Reach out to organisations that can support you, your family and your child during this time.
Listen to motivational podcasts, stories and music that will lift your spirit.
