  • As a parent it an e difficult to see your child go through this journey. Here are some trial and tested ativties that you can do that will support your own journey through this difficult time.

    • Meditate

    • Journal and Reflect on your journey

    • Keep a diary of activities you and your child did whilst in hospita or on this journey. Write down funny things they said, or questions they asked you.

    • Read a book to your child that will inspire them and inspire you

    • Have fun with your child and get involved in the activities that they do. E.G. If they are singing, sing with them.

    • Treat yourself to a tea, coffee or ice cream.

    • Talk to other parents in the ward and make connections to help each other during this time.

    • Reach out to organisations that can support you, your family and your child during this time.

    • Listen to motivational podcasts, stories and music that will lift your spirit.

    • Start making a FUN list with your child of what you can do when they go home
